At Revana, our philosophy is that wine quality begins in the vineyard and world-class Cabernet Sauvignon is a result of exceptional vineyard sites, meticulous farming, and masterful winemaking.
Dr. Revana’s fascination with Bordeaux’s first growths inspired him to establish his own vineyard in Napa Valley and focus on producing Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines. The Revana Estate is a meticulously farmed nine-acre parcel planted in 1998 from virgin ground. Framed by the Mayacamas and Vaca Mountains, this northern part of Napa is the narrowest stretch of the valley.
The Estate vineyard is located on the valley floor in the heart of the St. Helena AVA where deep, well-drained alluvial soils pair with warm days and cool nights providing optimum conditions for growing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
Under the guidance of Thomas Rivers Brown as Winemaker, our primary focus is elevating the potential of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Napa Valley. Thomas Rivers Brown’s non-interventionalist winemaking style allows the wines to truly showcase each single vineyard, including the Revana Estate Vineyard.
In the spring of 2005, Dr. Revana began searching for both the ideal region and met a renowned winemaker, Lynn Penner-Ash, to produce Pinot Noirs that could rival those from Burgundy. In the Dundee Hills AVA, the heart of the Willamette Valley, Dr. Revana’s search ended and the Revana Vineyard in Oregon began.
The Alexana Estate is a geologically diverse 100-acre parcel consisting of 18 different soil types that are within one single area. Alexana is located between 320-650 feet elevation in the pristine Dundee Hills AVA where sustainable farming methods such as dry farming are used to cultivate premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. In 2021, Dr. Revana purchased and planted an additional 27 acres that are located within a stone’s throw of Alexana.
Alexana is LIVE Certified and Salmon-Safe.
In 2008, Dr. Revana established Corazón del Sol in the Los Chacayes I.G of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. After inlisting the assistance of Argentinian winemaking icon, Santiago Achaval, he decided to plant the first acre of Mourvèdre in all of Uco Valley, and has become a pioneer producing Argentina's first GSM. Corazón del Sol has even been recognized in Wine Spectator's TOP 100 wines of the world!
The Corazón Del Sol Estate is a 17-acre parcel planted in an ancient stone covered riverbed at the base of the Andes Mountains in Argentina near the Los Sauces village at 3600 feet elevation. Intensified UV index and extreme shifts in the temperature allow for the longest ripening window in the region and enables us to grow Bordeaux and Rhone Varietals of the highest caliber with organic farming practices (certification in progress).
